The 2023 Danaher Summit convened diagnostics leaders, patients, healthcare professionals and innovators to share their insights, research findings and practical experiences in this critical field.
On November 7, 2023, we held the second annual Danaher Summit. The event, themed Diagnostics: Insights to Impact, featured provocative and insightful commentary on ways to close inequalities in access and dynamically integrate transformative innovations more quickly into the healthcare ecosystem.
The Summit also explored how other fast-moving fields, such as artificial intelligence, can drive this transformation and integration and ultimately make healthcare more patient-centric and responsive.
Attended by some of the most critical thinkers and voices in diagnostics, including world-renowned academic researchers, industry innovators, healthcare providers, and patient advocates, the event was a galvanizing moment for leaders with a shared commitment to advancing healthcare through innovation, collaboration and dedication to better healthcare for all.
Watch opening remarks by Danaher President & CEO Rainer Blair
Hear from some of the world’s most prominent voices in diagnostics and healthcare on the important roles diagnostics will play in the future of health, from empowering patient knowledge to making earlier cancer detection possible and addressing global antibiotic resistance.
Stephen Hahn, MD
Dr. Hahn addresses the ambition to make early cancer detection as routine and accessible as a cholesterol test, through multi-cancer early detection (MCAD) screening. Timely, broad access is critical for early detection tools – as is rebuilding trust.
Atul Butte, Ph.D.
Dr. Butte rallies scientists and clinicians to harness an ever-growing reservoir of healthcare data that is already being used to empower patients, improve health equity, and inform clinical decision-making while reducing clinicians’ administrative burdens.
Lord Ara Darzi of Denham
Lord Darzi calls for a coordinated, decentralized approach to point-of-care diagnostics that considers scaled access and equity across whole populations.
Following each keynote address, the presenter sat down with a Danaher executive for a brief question and answer session.
