Danaher received a perfect score of 100% on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. Danaher joins the ranks of many major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.
"Danaher is a proud supporter of the HRC, the largest LGBT civil rights organization in the country" says, Ernest Adams, VP, Global Diversity & Inclusion. "Over the last several years, CEI-rated companies have dramatically expanded their support for transgender workers. Danaher is proud to be named as one of many employers that remain committed to equality for the LGBTQ community while further focusing on full inclusion for our transgender associates."
The 2018 CEI report evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Danaher's efforts in satisfying all the CEI's criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
The support for the HRC's important work extended to the National Dinner held in late October where Danaher associates and more than 3,600 HRC members, friends, families and allies came together for an evening of inspiration, thought-provoking speakers and to celebrate advancements in the fight for LGBTQ equality, and to recommit to the work that still lies ahead.
