DHR Announces Ownership of Over 99% of Vision Shares and Close of Offer Period
Washington, D.C., January 4, 2007 -- Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) announced today that its tender offer to acquire all of the shares of Vision Systems Limited (ASX: VSL) closed as of 7:00pm (Melbourne time) on January 4, 2007. As of the close of the offer period, Danaher had acquired over 99% of the outstanding Vision shares. Danaher intends to acquire the remainder of the Vision shares by means of a compulsory acquisition process available under Australian law.

Vision is a manufacturer and marketer of automated instruments including the Peloris(TM) rapid tissue processor and the Bond(TM)-maX advanced staining system, as well as Novocastra(TM) antibodies and biochemical reagents for biopsy-based detection of cancer and infectious diseases.
