Fluke Corporation Recognized As Outstanding Supplier By Grainger

For the second time in three years, Fluke Corporation has received the prestigious CFQ1 (Customer Focused Quality) Award from Grainger. Grainger is the leading broad line distributor of facilities maintenance products serving businesses and institutions throughout North America.

Grainger's CFQ1 Award recognizes a select group of suppliers who achieve excellence in several categories, including management commitment, responsiveness, information integrity, on time shipping, and order fulfillment. Grainger rates its 1,200 suppliers throughout the year for their performance in each category and recognizes the top 2 percent in an annual awards ceremony.

In giving Fluke the CFQ1 award, Grainger is recognizing the strength of the relationship between the two companies. Early on, Fluke established a Cooperative Business Planning process with Grainger that has brought continuous focus on the relationship. This process has lowered the cost of doing business and increased sales and profits for both companies. Fluke applied the Danaher Business System Tools to its production and delivery process to reach the goals established with Grainger in the 2003 business plan.

Fluke President, Jim Lico, accepted the award on June 14, 2004. “We were proud of our results and truly honored when the Grainger awards presentation cited our reduced shipping errors and improved on time delivery, due to cooperative business planning. The planning process also included targeted marketing efforts which resulted in the highest growth among all vendors year over year“ said Ken Konopa, Senior Vice President.
